On May 20th, 2025, Bitcoin Journey proudly hosted a free Bitcoin workshop at the Queenstown Chamber of Commerce as part of Tech Week New Zealand, a nationwide celebration of innovation and technology.
The event was a huge success as it was sold out and over 25 people attended.
The feedback was great as many participants approached our staff after the workshop to express how much they had learned as they have always been curious about bitcoin but where hesitant regarding where or how to start.
Even though Bitcoin has been running for over 16 years, most people either ignore it completely or find it intimidating, because of price volatility and scams, among many reasons.
Bitcoin is an extremely powerful tool that makes the world a better place, at Bitcoin Journey we don’t have a doubt about that, and we want to help as many people as possible to benefit from this revolutionary technology.
We host the ‘’Understanding Bitcoin’’ workshop on monthly basis, both in person at the Queenstown Chamber of Commerce and online, so anyone from New Zealand can learn about Bitcoin in a simple, affordable and personalised way.

Bitcoin can be intimidating for beginners, full of technical jargon and misconceptions. This workshop was designed to demystify Bitcoin and give participants a clear, simple understanding of what it is, how it works, and why it matters in today’s world.
The workshop was 100% free and open to everyone, regardless of their technical background. Attendees included local business owners, curious newcomers, and even long-time skeptics, all united by a shared desire to understand this transformative technology.
